Meet Your Candidate For Lieutenant Governor:

sean collinson, mediator -hostage negotiator

Raised by a single mother, Sean learned early the values of hard work, responsibility, and what it means when every dollar matters.

Sean Collinson is a mediator, trained hostage negotiator, and No Party Preference candidate for Lieutenant Governor dedicated to bringing common ground, accountability, and real solutions to California.

learning life values:

Sean Collinson’s story is one of grit, reinvention, and service. Raised by a single mother, he learned early what hard work, sacrifice, and responsibility really mean. Before becoming a professional mediator and trained hostage negotiator, Sean was known as Kid Flash, a hip-hop artist signed to CBS Epic Records under Clarence Avant, proof that his path has never been ordinary. Over the years, he built a career helping people navigate conflict, find common ground, and reach practical solutions in high-pressure situations. As a husband, father, businessman, and longtime Californian, Sean brings both lived experience and real-world problem-solving to everything he does, and that is exactly why he says California needs leadership rooted in people, not politics.

Education, Leadership, and Real-World Experience

Sean Collinson’s education and professional training reflect a lifelong commitment to leadership, communication, and service at the highest level. He is a mediator, a law enforcement force instructor, and an FBI trained hostage negotiator whose work has centered on resolving conflict, managing high pressure situations, and helping people find practical solutions. He has also built a strong public presence as a television personality, appearing on Dr. Phil and on his own show, Civil Justice on Paramount/CBS. That combination of real-world training, public service, and media experience gives Sean a unique ability to connect with people, communicate clearly, and lead with confidence.

Sean believes education is the doorway to success because it gives people access, opportunity, and the tools to rise. Education opens the path to careers, independence, and a stronger future for families and communities. That is why he believes every child, regardless of background, deserves a fair and obtainable path to higher education and real opportunity. To Sean, making education accessible is not just good policy, it is one of the strongest investments we can make in people and in the future of California.

Why Sean’s Mediation and Negotiation Experience Matters for Lieutenant Governor

Sean’s background as a mediator and trained hostage negotiator brings real value to the office of Lieutenant Governor because those roles require calm under pressure, strong judgment, active listening, and the ability to bring people together when conflict is high. California is stuck in political gridlock, and this office needs more than another career politician, it needs someone who knows how to cut through the noise, find common ground, and focus on practical solutions. That skill set is especially valuable in a role that helps shape higher education, break legislative deadlocks, and influence major decisions affecting the people of California.

How sean the Mediator Can Bring Real Change to California

A mediator fixes California by doing what career politicians too often refuse to do, listen, bring people together, and focus on real solutions instead of party games. As Lieutenant Governor, Sean Collinson would use the office to break deadlocks, push accountability, and help move the state forward on the issues people live with every day, affordability, public safety, education, homelessness, and trust in government. Real change happens when leadership stops protecting the political machine and starts serving the people, and that is exactly the kind of leadership a mediator brings.

Why This No Party Preference Race
Matters More Than Ever

This race matters because California is at a point where the people can no longer afford more of the same. Families are being crushed by affordability, small businesses are struggling, homelessness is out of control, and too many people feel like government is no longer listening. I decided to run with no party preference because I believe elected officials should answer to the people, not to party bosses, party talking points, or the political machine.

For me, this is personal. I was raised by a single mother, so I understand what it means when every dollar matters and when people are working hard just trying to hold it together. My whole career as a mediator and trained hostage negotiator has been about stepping into difficult situations, listening carefully, finding common ground, and helping people move toward real solutions. That is the exact kind of leadership California needs right now.

A no party preference candidate is important in this election because people are tired of the red side blaming the blue side while nothing gets fixed. They are tired of broken promises, political gridlock, and leaders who seem more focused on the next office than on the people they serve today. This campaign is about doing something different. It is about putting the people first, bringing accountability back to government, and proving that California can still be led by someone whose loyalty is to the public, not to a party.
